Project: Selective demolition for a full luxury condo renovation
Building: Royal Marco Point, 5000 Royal Marco Way, Marco Island, FL
Scope: Kitchen, bathrooms, stone countertops and backsplashes, marble wall cladding, tile and finishes
Included: Building protection, dust control and debris haul-off

Remove It Pros handled the selective demolition for a top-to-bottom renovation of a multi-million-dollar Gulf-view condo at Royal Marco Point on the north end of Marco Island. The renovation will add significant value to the unit, and that starts with demolition that removes exactly what’s on the plan, protects everything that stays and leaves the building the way we found it.

Protecting the Building First

Before any demolition started, our crew protected the path from the lobby to the unit. We padded the service elevator walls, covered the elevator floor with protective board and taped protective runners across the lobby tile, down the hallway and through the unit’s front door. Every piece of debris left the building along that protected route.

Kitchen: Stone Countertops and Full-Height Backsplash

The kitchen had large stone countertops and a full-height stone backsplash. Our crew cut out the undermount sink, then lifted the countertop and backsplash slabs off in large pieces by hand, with three-man lifts, instead of breaking them up in place. That keeps dust and noise down in an occupied building and protects the cabinetry and walls that are staying. Anything marked “SAVE” stayed protected and in place.

Bathrooms: Vanities, Tile Walls and Gut to Studs

In the bathrooms we removed vanity tops, mirrors, tile walls and fixtures, and took the walls down to the studs where the new design called for it. Our grinders run with dust shrouds and vacuums, work areas were sealed with plastic and tape, and debris went straight into bins and out of the unit.

The Result

The unit was left clean, swept and ready for the renovation contractor’s trades, with the building’s elevator, hallways and lobby exactly as we found them. Debris haul-off was included in our price.
